To help you make your choice, we answer a few regular questions;
WHAT ARE HOLDERS FOR?
Simply protect your hands during gymnastic movements.
To avoid having ultra-sensitive hands or "steaks" it is essential to wear them regularly. But like any accessory, you should not overdo it either. Take the time to let your hands do their thing. The calluses that form with friction are a natural protection. You will have much better protection if your hands are already ready under the oven mitt
WHY PICSIL?
We have tested quite a few potholders and the PICSIL potholders are, for us, the most robust and offer very good grip.
WHICH MODEL TO CHOOSE?
We offer the 3 flagship models: RAVEN, AZOR and EAGLE!
These grips are intended for all levels but it is preferable to have AZOR for training and competition with the best compromise between resistance and grip.
The RAVEN are perhaps more suitable for beginners because the thin thickness will last longer at home and the grips are very handy. The EAGLE are thinner and less durable but offer incredible grip, they are suitable for competitors.
3 HOLES OR 2 ?
You will have better protection with the 3 holes but you may be a little less comfortable. So in the end, it's good to have both in your training bag
THE SIZE ?
Choosing the right size?
Measure | Length 1 | Length 2 |
---|---|---|
7.5cm | XS | S |
9cm | S | M |
10.5cm | M | L |
11.5cm | L | XL |
12.5cm | XL | XL |
You have 2 ways to wear the potholders. Either at the end (position 1) or in the middle of the phalanges (position 2). In the latter case, choose a size larger.
Most of the time, men take L, and women take M.
Good luck with your pull-ups!
